Mail Call: Japanese Packages

July 24th, 2008 · No Comments

I can’t possibly be the only one who likes to photograph and catalog all the mail she gets, right?

Jon very sweetly forwarded all my mail to me out in South Dakota this week– a few birthday cards, some University bills, and a new Japanese craft book!  I am so excited about this new book.  I ordered it from CottonBlue’s Etsy shop before I left… kind of an impulse buy (but it is so cool)!

I am looking forward to getting to work on these patterns– I’ll need to figure out a good way to get these onto my fabric.  I’m thinking I can just trace them onto tracing paper and then use one of those transfer pencils to get it onto the fabric?  I am super excited about the stamp patterns, which I didn’t even know about when I ordered the book.

I want to put these stamps on all my handkerchiefs… can I do that without learning how to cross-stitch?  I like embroidery but cross-stitch seems like it requires a lot of planning, which I don’t really like in a hobby.
