Hooray! I new all these mornings spent on NotCot would lead me to the most perfect (and different) calander. I spotted this one, from KrissColorStripes‘ Etsy shop via NotCot this morning. Like the poster at NotCot, I like that each month has its own color pallate. I’ve been toying around with doing a variation on the “year of color” project next year… I can’t tell if I’ll have time for it or not though. Also, I’d like to do it with someone but all my friends are (like me) in grad school, incredibly busy, and way more talented with the drawing and the art than I am.
“Crayons in APO” from Ben Murray’s Flickr stream. Licensed under the Creative Commons.I’m thinking that, since there are 48 crayons in a box, I might do something like draw with a different color each week… With the box of 48 I’ll get to take a few weeks off here and there, like when my thesis is due. Maybe limiting myself to one color is no good, but maybe I could emphasize one color each week. Again, this is just an idea I’ve been kicking around. Any suggestions?
Part of starting this blog was to hold myself accountable for getting crafty and, sadly, I feel like I’m not really meeting that goal. Still, one drawing a week feels like something I could do… maybe.
