I work for a peer reviwed journal, gnovis, that has been fighting an uphill battle back from the ambivalence of the past generation of CCT’ers. That was not a very good sentence, it actually would not make it through our peer review process. Anyway, I got to put my crafty skills to use making a promo card for our faculty. I used my last moving announcements as inspiration– these go together really easy, its amazing how a little pocket with smething inside will make people happy. Kind of like all those childrens’ books.
Apparently, the faculty are very impressed! Yay! Not bad for cards that cost less than $1 each to make– that is some cheap outreach. Also, nice to know I’ve still got the crafty skills even when I’m not using them so much.
