I’ve been away from this space way too long, I know.  There was a minor problem with my laptop that required getting the monitor replaced (gasp) and it isn’t quite fixed yet (I know, this stresses me out too– at least it made it through my thesis).  Anyway, I’ve been forced to keep myself busy doing things that do NOT involve the Internet, I know it sounds crazy.

Luckily the public and semi-public pools are open for the summer (it’s been hot here lately).  Yesterday we spent all afternoon at a hotel’s pool ($10 for entry to the pool and a burger, not a bad deal).  We drank lots of froofy summer drinks, worked on making our pale, pasty Scotch-Irish skin a little more healthy looking, and did somersaults underwater.  Plus, I love the way photos look when taken outside on a really bright, hot sunny day.  I can feel the heat in these photos.

Right, so my computer will be going away again for a while… I am going to do my best to post from the other computer I have available to me, but I can’t promise much.  I’ll see you tomorrow for sure, but then… well, just have patience while my sad, sad little laptop goes back into the computer hospital.
