I’ve been gone a long time, I know.  I’ve got no excuse except my new job has keept me extreemly busy– I just got back from 4 days in Orlando, FL during which time I went outside for maybe 4 hours total (for some early AM runs).  Anyway, I am recommiting to this space and I do have loads of things to show you.  This morning, however, I’m going to point you over toward the 500 Colored Pencils Project (found via NotCot and Otto-Otto).

This got me thinking again about my year-of-color crayon idea I mentioned way back in March (heavens how time flies).  I am going to make this happen– every time I see year-long sets that help someone re-commit to their creative self I get excited.  Of course, I also can’t draw to save my life and that’s something I’ve wanted to work on for quite some time.  Crayons are a lot less intimidating than classy colored pencils.

Plus, how much do you love that packaging?  Sadly, I do not have $25 a month to spend on colored pencils nor do I particularly need 500 pencils.  Still– a girl can dream.
