Just a quick post today– I love this video from the New Zeland bakery association promoting their bakery of the year awards.  It celebrates pastry AND Sir Edmond Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the first men to summit Everest.  Some of you might remember my bizarre obsession with Everest (I say bizarre because I have never, in my life, climbed anything close to a large hill– let alone a mountain).  A few years ago I couldn’t stop reading books about Everest (Into Thin Air, Touching My Father’s Soul, etc.) and was obsessed with the Discovery Channel’s show “Everest: Beyond the Limit.”
