What a weekend! We were up in NYC at a friend’s wedding. It was busy– I feel like we were going going going since about 7 AM on Friday. This wedding was a lot of fun, though, and I was so busy catching up with friends that I forgot to take many photos. Plus, what time I had for creative stuff was spent working on my first contribution to my side-project with Ariel: 64 Shades of Wax!
From the “About” section of 64 Shades of Wax:
This project aims to explore creativity though the limitation of a forgiving and comforting medium, the crayon. Each week for the next 64 weeks we will choose one crayon from Crayola’s box of 64 and find something fun to do with it. From opposite sides of North America, Ariel and Ashley will put to the test the powers of Wisteria and Cobalt and everything in between.
If you want you can play along! Join us over there next week for green! I am really excited about this collaboration, I thin it will help me get over my fear of drawing. I know I’m terrible and I fully expect to see loads of much better drawings for any number of sources, but I’ve got to at least try and maybe– with time– I’ll even improve. Someday I want perspective to be not-a-mystery to me.
