Today I really, really should be prepping my lecture for a class I’m leading into the wild fields of Cedar Creek this weekend– especially since they will be actually reading my thesis!  Yikes.

What am I doing instead?  Wishing I was playing along with the Levis’ Go Forth alternate reality game.  Yes, it is a cheesy marketing ploy– but it is a beautiful cheesy marketing ploy.  I am so ridiculously into a 19th century aesthetic at the moment.  I’m actually kind of excited about having money to spend at the sutlers’ tents this weekend– I believe I deeply need some 19th century (replica) glassware in my life this autumn.

Oh, and I’m trying to decide why glitter skulls are so popular now.  Especially since glitter was recently, and accurately, described to me as “the herpes of the craft world.”
