In honor of Halloween and my new job I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about movies regarding illness, quarantine, and general public control.  Trust me, these things are related but job is actually about doing good.  I swear– it’s all about being the hero.  Anyway, I’ve had to dig out two of my favorite horror/suspense films: 28 Days Later (above) and Children of Men (below).

If you haven’t seen either of these movies you really, really should.  28 Days Later is more fun– a smart take on the zombie movie– but Children of Men will really, really make you think.  I remember kind of feeling the way I did after I read The Road.
