Pastel Wreath at Christmas?

December 8th, 2009 · No Comments

This wreath was a lot of fun to put together (and so easy): no sewing at all was involved.  I just cut the fabric into 2 inch strips and pinned it onto a styrofoam wreath frame.  The ribbon is just a basic wired grosgrain ribbon and that glittery branch came from Michael’s.  Wreaths are my favorite holiday decoration– such a nice back story and they make even the darkest doors look welcoming.

It looks nice in our hallway (if I do say so myself) and really brightens an otherwise dark spot up.  I’m tempted to leave it up past Christmas and just make one that’s  bit more Christmas-y next year.  As much as I wanted a non-traditional holiday pallet, this is almost too springy, even for me.  The pink really seems to dominate.
